It is through the unspoken languages of music, food and dance that we can communicate beyond mother tongues and create human connections. The HOME serves a Cultural Centre and has hosted events with the international communities in Bangkok to promote cultural exchange and connection.
Olé Siam is a Flamenco platform aiming to share different cultures, create a community in Thailand to share and spread a better understanding of this one and only form of art that communicates through dance and music to reveal the 'duende'... the true being that lives in all of us, one's spirit.
In Flamenco, duende refers to having and working from the soul at a heightened state of emotion that comes from inside as expression and authenticity. A term set by the beloved poet and songwriter Federico Garcia Lorca who writes: "The duende, then, is a power, not a work. It is a struggle, not a thought. I have heard an old maestro of the guitar say, 'The duende is not in the throat; the duende climbs up inside you, from the soles of the feet.'

As a bridge merging cultures, Olé Siam Flamenco continues to grow in numbers of students and aficionados. We take this opportunity to bring to Thailand a piece of Spanish cultural heritage that happens every year in Spring time throughout the country. The Seville Fair (officially and in Spanish: Feria de abril de Sevilla, "Seville April Fair") is held in Andalusian capital of Seville. The fair generally begins two weeks after the Semana Santa, or Easter Holy Week and runs six days. It dates back to 1846.
The HOME BKK presents Culture Live, an evening of community with the exciting TOQUE TACóN and friends. Come celebrate tradition and innovation, live, right in the heart of Bangkok! Our village will come together to enjoy dance and live music, food and drink, and fun for all ages!
Barrio Bonito is very happy to be a guest in the beautiful and creative space of The HOME BKK in Bangkok to celebrate our Mexican Traditions with food, music, art & dance and performance. It all started with us looking for a space where to host this very special dinner and so we did, we found the perfect place to share a bit of our heart through this menu 100% inspired in this Mexican mystical celebration. A 5 course menu, full of earthy, hearty, powerful flavors that remind me of the days with the family at this time of the year.
